Another quango
“The International Fund for Ireland is an international organisation established by the Irish and British Governments in 1986 with the objectives of promoting economic and social advance and of encouraging contact, dialogue and reconciliation between Unionists and Nationalists throughout Ireland. Contributors to the Fund have included the United States of America, the European Union, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the Irish and UK Governments. Ms Anne Carr and Ms Anne Conaghan, who were Members of the previous Board, have been re- appointed for a further term.”What a joke… another quango.
Stern message

To the Secretary General of the NUJ
It has been brought to the attention of the IWU, of whom I am a member, that the NUJ are backing Trevor Birney and Barry McCaffrey in the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee, and are wondering why you would not back me when I was in Belfast.
The perfect gentleman, Gerry Carson and the delightful Kathryn Johnston are both aware of matters which found me in a Belfast jail in 2022. Now two Belfast journalists have finally picked up on the story, after everyone, including the Belfast Telegraph, being paid off by Radius Housing Association to keep it quiet.
I am sorry that I am such an activist, and therefore not acceptable to the NUJ, but after all I am only an English woman. How I could possibly be of any interest.
What do the NUJ do?
Except take your money and then do not provide the services. In Scotland, they commission articles then don’t pay. The NUJ, the biggest union, should take heed of this. Not if you are a woman they don’t. Sexism or what?
