We continue with our investigation into housing here Both in Northern Ireland and Scotland. The Courts in England keep asking me to send them documentation which has been sent many times before, and are wondering why the case of homelessness in Scotland as well as Northern Ireland is happening at all. As are the Northern Ireland Office.
“Having first getting in touch with the DUP over four years ago when Jonathan Buckley DUP was assisting with getting repairs done at Edenderry Fold. We subsequently discussed housing and the fact that Radius Housing Association were attempting to remove me from my home, probably because I was making them do repairs. In October 2025 I was requested by the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee to launch an investigation about the matter.
I focus here on housing and not the appalling breach of Human Rights and threats of a pensioner, who, is in fact, also a journalist, and well respected in the Republic of Ireland and other parts of the world, including Spain.
The DUP seem not to agree on housing policy. Carla Lockhart MP was sympathetic in her letter to this journalist in 2022, not so the office of the Rt Hon Gavin Robinson MP who constantly reiterated that I was not deported and was not homeless, despite providing evidence that I am. James Lawlor was equally dismissive and reported this journalist to PSNI for harassment, as did Matthew Spiers of Gavin Robinson’s office. In her time in Northern Ireland, it is normal, apparently, to report people for harassment if someone tries to persuade them to uphold their statutory obligations under the law. Even the Deputy Prime Minister appears to agree with illegal eviction, her husband telling this journalist it was fine to be not only removed from her house but also Northern Ireland. So, what is the DUP Policy on housing? We will never know the truth, as they don’t know what it is.
However, the TUV, another Unionist group, is very helpful. Jim Wells (now TUV) , for example, when he met this journalist in Portadown in 2019 and we talked about housing. He was in the DUP then, and did not agree with illegal eviction. However, Paul Frew DUP does. Timothy Gaston has always been helpful, right from the beginning, but then Jim Allister MP is a barrister, as is the Rt Hon Gavin Robinson MP. I met Jim at the Balmoral show in 2019 and we discussed housing even then, two months after Radius Housing Association decided they did not want me as a tenant after all, as I was making them do repairs. However, Jonathan Buckley DUP did assist with that, so, another anomaly in the DUP. camp.”
This journalist was looking at the effects on people who are homeless, and specifically at medical documentation she found while trawling through mountains of paperwork, about 100,000 pages, including a huge file which was sent to this journalist when she was in Hyde Bank Prison on trumped up charges.
It is notable that not one person in England, Northern Ireland or Scotland, have said how sorry they are that this has happened, but they have in Spain and the Republic of Ireland. It is of course that the Spanish and the Irish are generally more compassionate people, and do actually care about people, and not just money. The podcast promised to Near Fm is here. We will do another one next month, and perhaps interview someone on housing.
On 8 January 2026 we published our first podcast about housing. Since then there have been a few new subscribers, so a quick update is required. Why are we looking in the Republic of Ireland for answers. Answers: Because we could not get them in the north. The Belfast Telegraph perpetuated the situation by publishing lies. We wonder how much they were paid by Radius Housing Association. Their stock seems to have reduced somewhat.
We will be ending 2025 with a bang, as PSNI and the Charities Commission of Northern Ireland are back in the Court in England. Police Scotland are not without blame. They should not have allowed PSNI to harass this journalist out of jurisdiction.
What a sorry mess. Four committees in Northern Ireland could not deal with the matter in hand. How many MLAs does it take to get things to the table. Actually, one MLA, Timothy Gaston, and three MPs, the wonderful Carla Lockhart, Jamie Stone and the Rt Hon Sir Edward Leigh MP. All of this because one man could not get what he wanted and Radius Housing Association backed him. We had the same tenancy agreement. This is where we will start in the New Year.
So, with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive also being served a writ in the New Year, as well as the complicit employee, things are moving on in a most satisfactory manner.
Both the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission and the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman believe it is correct to throw a British citizen out of Northern Ireland. This journalist received a note from NIHRC this morning, 12 December 2025, telling her that her case was not formulated. As it was not for the court, the complaint was valid, and detailed what they did, ie nothing, except like everyone else attempt to protect Radius Housing Association. They said this journalist was out of time. Of course she was, they have not answered for over three years, to anyone.
The matter of a British citizen being removed from Northern Ireland has finally reached the Northern Ireland Office. The fault lies with the Northern Ireland Public Services Office and the PSNI Ombudsman who refused to deal with matters of the problems with Radius Housing Association in 2021. That is a long time, but this journalist is a patient person. Tribunal papers have been lodged in London, following an investigation instigated by the Northern Ireland Affairs Office and Police Scotland who are not entirely blameless, as they permitted PSNI to harass this journalist out of jurisdiction.
We have not teamed up with NearFM and will be looking at the housing sector specifically in 2026.
Meanwhile, we continue with our energy strategy in Scotland and attempting to mitigate the damage being done by windfarms.
With the ejection of British citizen from Northern Ireland, the Guardia Civil advise, as do Interpol. We will get Radius Housing Association investigated by the Spaniards, if those in Northern Ireland will not do it. They helped out in January 2022 as well, which is great. The Republic of Ireland, the Garda, also assisted.
The original synopsis of the next book “Ulstercon – Legal Voices” was looked at by the Irish Writers Union. Now another writing group is reviewing the first ten pages, so we are on a roll. The next issue of Environmental News will include “Legal Voices” from another perspective, that of Justice and the Environment.
